Interest of the Subject is the Subject for the PHOTOGRAPHER

What exactly do you look in your subject when you are taking a photograph matters the most for making the story line. Suppose if you are clicking a photo of a kid, what would be your subject? The cliché ans would be, “the kid”. But that isn’t it. For the photographer the subject is not that kid, it is the interest in which the kid is involved. Like, if the kid is having an ice cream, being a photographer your perception should be more beyond then just that little boy, as his interest is licking an ice cream which brings him joy, happiness, delight & bliss. Now your interest should be capturing that bliss. You should make your frame which is composition, keep it focused and wait for the right moment, the moment that boy is bringing the ice cream close to him, putting his tongue out, the expression coming on his face while licking it. That should be the interest of a photographer. Stories can be different but, the mantra is “Interest of the subject is the subject for the photographer.”

In this photograph I have tried to capture the expression of a little girl who is trying to pull up that heavy load, the expression of the face and body itself defines that its too heavy for her to carry.

Photoshop is An Art in Itself.

Some people/photographers/artists consider post production of images against the protocol of photography, but what in real is post production has its own place as far as creativity is considered.

Why do we need to do photo editing?

Ans. lets take an example of furniture, trunk of the tree is cut down and big logs are made of it, next it is sliced into pieces to make a sofa or bed or dining table and many more stuff. But we donn buy until there is a fine finishing in that cluster of woods. It doesn't look tempting or attractive unless it is polished properly. Hence photographs sometimes require a little or more than little bit of polishing.

But that polishing shouldn't be so much that the identity is lost and nothing comes out the photograph or makes it look weird.

So fellows, photo editing is not a sin its an art, try to learn and make your work appealing.

At India Gate trying to find something new and different.

Most of the time I donn feel like taking photographs of the same old things and frames which zillions of people had already captured. I just keep trying to find something new or presenting the same thing with a different perspective.
